Petwidge turns a photo of your pet into a pixel-art companion that lives on your Home Screen, Lock Screen, and in the Dynamic Island. Below are the quick answers — if you're still stuck, email us and we'll sort it out.

Create your pet
Tap Choose a Photo (or Take a Photo), pick a clear shot of your pet, and tap to bring them to life. You'll get two takes — tap the one that looks most like them.
Add the widget
Long-press your Home Screen → + → search Petwidge → add the size you like. Pick which pet is active from inside the app.
Put your pet in the Dynamic Island
Activate a pet for the Island in the app, then leave the app — iOS hides an app's own Live Activity while that app is open, so your pet appears once Petwidge is in the background.

What are sparks?
Sparks are free daily creation credits. You get a few each day and they refill automatically — no purchase required.
My pet doesn't look quite right
Every creation gives you two takes to choose from. For the best result, use a well-lit, front-or-side photo where your pet's face and markings are clearly visible. You can always create again for a fresh pair of takes.
Why is there a background behind my widget?
On the Home Screen, iOS does not allow third-party widgets to be fully transparent — every app gets a system backing there. On the Lock Screen and in StandBy, the background-removable widgets show your pet without a card.
How do I report a generated pet or content concern?
Email hello@petwidge.com (or use Report a problem in Settings). We review reports promptly.
What happens to my photo?
It's sent securely to our service and Google's Gemini AI to generate your sprite, then it comes right back — we don't store it on our servers. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Remove an individual pet from inside the app, or delete the app to clear all locally stored Petwidge data from your device.
